SMS Texting…..what is it? SMS texting if used properly is a fantastic way to capitalize on those days that you or your company, for some reason, just don’t make the same amount of money that you make on every other given day.

Picture this….you know that every Wednesday for one reason or another, you don’t make the same amount of money that you do on the other days. Everyone that’s a business owner knows exactly what I’m talking about. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday you might have your normal profit intake, but come Wednesday, or whatever day it may be for you, that day always falls short.

Now what if you had a customer contact list of 1,500. You actually have 1,500 customers that have said to you, “Hey, if you have something of value, I WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT.”

NOW, you know that Wednesdays are slow, so what do you do? Well, instead of either taking a loss or just barely making a dime, how about this….let’s say you own a restaurant, what if you were able to send a text message to all 1,500 customers (these customers signed up for it) that said something like…

“Hey! This is Mike down at Mike’s Seafood and Steakhouse. Between the hours of 12pm and 4pm we’re having a ‘Buy One Get One Free’ deal for you and your whole family. So come on down and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, intelligent conversation, and most of all dig in to what you like most! Mike’s Seafood and Steakhouse. 944 East Bay Drive, Somewhere, Nevada.”

So basically, at around 10am, you send out a blast text message to all of your opt-in customers, all 1,500 of them, to come on down and take advantage of something that you only do occasionally. Your customers, feeling a bit hungry at the time, look down at the cellphone and see your appetizing offer. Even if you only got 1% of the customers to come down and take part of your discount, that’s still 15 customers for the day that you didn’t have before. This really is a fantastic way to increase your bottom line for those lousy no pay days.
