How to get in the Top Rankings

I have studied SEO intensely, worrying about content ratio, the right keywords, Title and Description tags, Link Exchange………… I read alot and got overwhelmed and confused by what I was reading. So in the beginning I just kind of “winged it”.

So how can I be on the first page and in some cases the first spot for my pages???

I can’t tell you I have a formula per se, but I have observed the results in comparison to what I have been doing.

So what did I do, what do I do??

First – I don’t count my keywords, I just write about a topic, and in the course of natural writing I do not meet the recommended ratio of keywords verses content. Of course my keywords are present in the content but I can not tell you a given number for an particular page I have written. They all vary.

Second – I only exchanged links with relevant sites, sites I think my customers can use!

Third – I write multiple pages for different topics so I can delegate specific keywords for each page. For example if I was going to write to the audience explaining about having an online presence and/or online store, I wrote different pages: one for online store and one for online presence. That way my keywords could be targeted.

Fourth - I try to write good content, if your content is good then people will refer to it and recommend it to others.

Fifth – I wrote/write my Title Tags short and Sweet but addressed clearly to what the page is about.

Sixth – I suggest writing a clear description of what your page is about, if it is an article, add article in the description of it……..

Seventh – when focusing on key words, I tend to lean more toward writing phrases, then individual words.

Eighth – I submit my writing to a number of article directories and I have a wide range of networks in which I participate in and share my writings again in blogs.

Ninth – I write A LOT!

If writing about a particular topic that I am not confident enough in, will read about it for a few hours or longer if needed. Until I can describe it. If you are not capable of doing this with ease ASK FOR HELP! Ask your friends, family members, co workers, a freelancer……. You may be surprised that your spouse or partner have a wonderful talent of writing, heck maybe even they will be surprised to learn it!

So this is what I do, and I rank high in the Search Engines for my pages.

Use White Hat Techniques when dealing with SEO. Write your content, share links…  for the reasons of the audience not the search engines!
