Tips for creating an eflyer

Eflyers are used commonly among real esate agents, but they have great potential for other businesses as well. I would like to discuss a few things that need to be considered when creating an eflyer. Most importantly, you need to have knowledge that an image in the eflyer will probably send it straight to the junk folder. Also there are words that trigger "spam" protection that you should try to avoid. One of the most crucial to avoid is the word FREE….Free anything, examples:

Some other phrases that can trigger your eflyer being considered as spam are:

So choose your words wisely, there are many ways to phrase something and give it the same meaning, so be creative and stay away from words that will send your hard work directly into the JUNK FOLDER.

When creating an eflyer you will want to keep the information clear and concise. Most of the people in which you have targeted are busy in their work and professional lives. So remember their time is valuable! keep the eflyer short, list clearly what you want to express, have your "call to action" in the first part of the eflyer and then again in the end. I suggest keeping the content to a maximum of two paragraphs.

Don't feel you need to tell them everything in the flyer. Not only do you need to take in consideration that their time is precious, most people get bored easily and have limited attention spans. So, make a clear statement describing, "that for further information", to visit your website. this leaves you to direct your focus of the eflyer to a targeted, short, productive message and reassures the reader that there is much more about your company/product/services.

Also keep in mind that sending the same email to numerous recipients, will trigger your eflyer as being considered "spam" and landing it in the junk folder.

The problem with your eflyer going to the junk folder is that many people do not check the junk folder and worse yet most people have it set to have the junk folder automatically delete it's contents in a day or two. This means that the number of people who actually viewed your eflyer are small in numbers.

This means that your main goals in creating an eflyer is not so much the response you will receive. Your focus initially should be that it will be read at all! But if you follow the tips and leave out "spam" phrases, don't use images or flash, you  increase your chances of escaping the "junk" folder.
