WordPress Hype

What is WordPress?

WordPress is an Open Source Blogging platform. It was created in 2003 and since then has held it’s
ground claiming hundreds of millions of users world wide.

Wordpress has grown far beyond a blogging platform, the constant contributions of widgets, plugins and scripts have made WordPress a Powerful platform for creating feature rich websites and e-Commerce sites.

The possibilities for personal or professional use seem to be never ending as new applications are always being created.

One of my favorite things about WordPress is the ease of use. A quick hour tutorial will give you more then just the basics of how to use and create with WordPress.

I started using WordPress with limited knowledge on creating websites. And I was actually very pleased with how easy it was to Pick a theme, change themes, add pages, add categories, upload images, add media, use permalinks add products, manipulate themes to look less “bloggy”, and to create a fully functional, feature rich website!

WordPress has a huge arsenal of plugins which allow you to add things like Evens Calendars, become Search Engine Optimized, create polls, monitor your website or blog Stats, connect with Twitter and other Social Groups, add interactive maps, have multiple emails, have a
multilingual website or blog, add games, create slide shows, display images with a light box effect, add a BMI Calculator, Use Real Estate Tools, add Captcha, integrate PayPal payments, create a social community, add news feeds, add contact forms, view your blog or website with your i-phone, Add SMS Texting and so much more, really giving you the oppurtunity to do so mcu with your website, all you really have to do is decided what it is you want your website to do, and WordPress can make that happen.

WordPress also offers support forums in case you have any issues. It takes a little reading sometimes to find the answer and if after posting and reading in the WordPress forums, you are still unable to find the answer you are looking for, you have the option of directly contacting the creator of a given plugin or widget for help.

If you are not familiar with WordPress there are avenues to find someone to help you. You can find a WordPress solution company or a freelancer to assist you.

Over all WordPress lives up to the hype and I recommend it not only for personal use, home based business or  small business. I believe it has the capability and  functions to preform as well as the high priced websites offered by other companies. Click here to read more about WordPress Solutions.

Sincerely,
